awful news

this is gumpys mummy here. i am writing this with regret and sorrow that our lil gumpster has gone to rainbow bridge. i know he hasnt written for a long tim e thats cos he has been too busy being norty!

he passed away peacefully and quietly in the early hours of the 23/12/08

we think it was his gut stasis. it was such a shock to find him but he looked peaceful. we worked out it could have happened between 6 hours so it cant have been a slow and painful death by any means.

when we found him myxi was cuddled next to him and didnt want to leave his side, we have since bonded him with smudgie although gumps didnt like smudgie i am sure he would not want his partner in crime to be on his own

he is being buried in his granny's garden where he teased his grandad with a stick and kept binkying.

so, i would be honoured if you could all hold him in your thoughts and wish for us to be reunited when the time comes.

to gumpy, my best friend, my shining star and a huge part of my soul xXx you will never be forgotten x

We are so sorry to hear this very sad news. Our eyes are leaking. We hope that his trip to the Rainbow Bridge was a peaceful one. He will be with a lot of our friends there. Binky on, Gumpy.

We posted a little tribute to Gumpy on our blog. We borrowed a picture from your previous post and hope that was okay. Let us know if you would prefer we took it down.

We talked about that picture of Gumpy and Myxi inside the bag of pellets. Don't think we have ever laughed as hard as when we saw that picture on your blog. We will remember it when we think of Gumpy and his pursuit of being "norty."

We didn't know Gumpy, but we read about him on Freckle's & Deb's. And since we know how hard it is to lose a furry friend, we stopped by to say how sorry we are it was his turn to leave for the bridge.

We're so sorry to read about Gumpy on Freckles and Deb's blog. We wish we had known Gumpy before this.. we'll be combing Gumpy's blog for that photo of bunny butts in a bag of pellets :)

Binky free, Gumpy. Brighten up the Bridge with all that nortiness.

Gumpy, we didn't know you but when Miss Freckles and Miss Deb showed your portrait on their blog we fell in love with you and your beauteous bunny ears. We are sending hugs and shnozzle bumpies to your mum and dad and know that you are safe and norty on the other side of the bridge.

Gumpy buns, we saw that you had passed following over from another blog. We HATE it when our bun friends cross the bridge but we are so glad we had them in our lives to begin with. Godspeed on your journey to the bridge.

Oh, I'm so sorry about Gumpy from Freckles' blog. We have some little guys too, so we feel very badly for you. Best from me and my gang.

We're very late in giving our condolences for Gumpy's passing -in fact, Gumpy must have been at the Rainbow Bridge when our Hugo crossed it after Christmas, and hopefully they are playing together.
I hope Myxi and Smudgie are doing well and the pain of the loss is slowly easing for you all.
Binky free little bunny - and feel free to teach some nortyness to Hugo, he was such a good bunny.
